The Hear Foundation was proud to sponsor Stuff-A-Store, a holiday tradition rooted in service, legacy, and community care.
The program was founded by the late Detective Jimmy Cvetic of the Allegheny County Police Department, who believed that building trust between law enforcement and the community starts with showing up for children, especially during the holidays. Though Detective Cvetic passed away in 2019, his vision continues to live on through this annual toy drive, which brings officers and volunteers together to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys to local kids in need.
Thanks to the tireless leadership of his wife, Gloria Sztukowski-Cvetic, Executive Director of the WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE INC, and the dedication of an incredible volunteer team, including Community Relations Officer Bobbie Bertalan, retired ACPD Officer Joseph Risher, and retired ACPD Assistant Superintendent Maurita Bryant, the 2025 Stuff-A-Store event was once again a meaningful success.
This is what community-centered public safety looks like: compassion, consistency, and care, specially for our youth. We’re honored to support work that strengthens trust, creates joy, and keeps Detective Cvetic’s legacy alive
